Can you believe October is here?! It blows my mind how quickly this year has gone by. October is one of my favorite months, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s here. October means that it’s officially fall, it’s okay to go crazy with pumpkin everything, the leaves are changing, and it’s Halloween season. Last year we were in Europe for part of October, so I don’t think this October can quite compare, but I’m excited nonetheless. 🙂
Here are a few things I’m looking forward to this month!
Now that it’s October I can finally watch all my favorite fall movies. This sounds like such a silly thing but I’m SO excited!! My favorites include Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic, Halloweentown, and Halloween (one of the few scary movies I tolerate). I also love watching any of the Harry Potter movies during the fall, too! Also, ABC Family (or Freeform now I guess) is having a Hocus Pocus marathon on Halloween day. In case you were wondering…
Road Trip to Santa Ynez
One of my besties and her boyfriend are currently working at different wineries in the Santa Ynez valley, so Dave and I are going to visit them for a weekend. They are actually living on the property of one of the vineyards they are working at, and it looks SO beautiful. I can’t wait to see it, and visit them of course! I also can’t wait to do a little (or a lot of) wine tasting and wander around adorable Solvang and Los Olivos. I miss the Central Coast so much, so it’ll be nice to be back for a weekend.
Cozy Weekends at Home
Aside from our road trip, I have nothing planned for the rest of my weekends this month. I’m excited to just stay in, light my fall candles, and nest. I feel like this summer was all go, go, go, and I’m looking forward to slowing things down a bit this month (especially before November which is going to be crazy). I kicked it off this weekend by decorating my apartment for fall, and making chili on Sunday afternoon!
I’m so excited for Halloween!! I haven’t decided what I’m going to be yet. Dave and I will do some sort of couples costume, but I can’t decide! Any suggestions are appreciated, haha. The first year we were dating, we were in New Orleans for Halloween and dressed up as Austin Powers and Felicity Shagwell (check it out here) and it was amazing. Dave basically turned into Austin Powers with the accent and everything! Last year we were in Europe and didn’t get to dress up, so I need to find something to top Austin this year.
