It’s kind of freaking me out that November is here already. I know I say all the time that the year has been flying by, but I mean…there are 8 more Mondays until Christmas. That is CRAZY. I’m definitely not complaining, because November means that the holiday season is almost upon us! Also, this month is jam packed with tons of travel and I can’t wait. Here’s what I’m looking forward to this month…
We leave for Hawaii on Saturday and I’m so excited!! We’re going to the Big Island for a little over a week with Dave’s whole family. This will be my 4th time on the Big Island, so I’m excited to hit up some of my favorite spots, and take Dave to all the places I’ve been telling him about forever. I can’t wait for lazy beach days and lots of mai tais. I also want to do a tour of a coffee plantation since I haven’t done that yet, and maybe a fun hike to a waterfall or something! Stay tuned on Insta-stories for all the fun, since I’ll be taking the week off of blogging.
2. My Birthday
The weekend after we get back from Hawaii is my birthday. I’m turning 25 this year and I’m oh so ready for it! Actually, I feel like I’ve been 25 for a while now, haha. I don’t have any official plans so far, but I know I want to have a big birthday dinner with friends on one of the nights. Dave might have something up his sleeve too, so I’m excited to see what he’s got planned. 🙂 I’ll finally be able to rent a car, yay!
This is the first year I won’t be with my family for Thanksgiving because I’m going to be with Dave’s family in LA! I’m a little bit sad that I won’t be home with my family, but I’m looking forward to changing things up and to start new traditions. It’ll be great to spend time with Dave’s family, too! I’m basically already dreaming about turkey and stuffing…
The day after Thanksgiving, Dave and I are meeting up with my parents to go camping for the weekend. We’re just going out to the local mountains here in San Diego, but I’m really pumped. I’ve only tent camped once, so this will be interesting, haha. My parents have a little trailer though, so we won’t have to rough it too much. 😉 I think it’s going to be pretty chilly up there, so I can’t wait to bring out my sweaters and scarves. I think getting some peace and quiet is going to be so ideal before the Christmas season.
5. The Holiday Season
I know it’s only November 1st, but this month marks the start of the holiday season and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not saying I’m going to put up my Christmas tree tomorrow or anything (I always wait on Christmas things until after Thanksgiving!) but it’s just such a happy time with friends and family. Bring on the holiday cheer!
