Every time there’s rain forecasted in San Diego, I always take the opportunity to pull out sweaters and coats. Usually it ends up raining for an hour and then is 75 and sunny the rest of the day, totally ruining my chilly weather attire, but a couple weekends ago it actually stayed overcast long enough for me to wear my favorite trench! Crazy stuff, I know.
With clouds overhead, I threw on my trench as fast as I could as D and I ran out the door to grab brunch at our new favorite place, Snooze (side note: I changed into flats after these photos were snapped. San Diego doesn’t exactly dress for brunch, unfortunately). I’m a little late to the party on this uber-popular brunch spot, but if you haven’t gone before, it’s definitely worth the wait! And… there is always a wait. If you can brave it, you must get a pancake flight. It’s pancake nirvana, and basically heaven on a plate! Try the “Coffee and donuts” pancake… you can thank me later.
Anyways! I’ve been all about neutrals lately, and I love this pale pink/neutral color combo. It’s perfect for spring and it definitely brightened up a dreary day (so did this pretty blue wall!). This trench is one of my favorites because it’s so lightweight it almost doesn’t even feel like a jacket, but still looks like a classic trench. It’s the ideal combo for SoCal (although I’m loving this sleeveless option, too)! Here’s to hoping we get some more rain in the next few weeks so I can pull it out again!
What’s your go-to rainy weather combo?
