Travel Wish List 2018

January 30, 2018

This week, I’m heading off on my first trip of the year! Dave and I are road tripping to the Grand Canyon this weekend with some friends (the same friends we visited in Santa Ynez, Emily and James), and I’m so excited. It was a super spontaneous decision, which is very unlike me, but I’ve always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and the stars just aligned for this trip. Funny enough, the Grand Canyon was on my travel wish list last year…I’m only a month late getting there, haha! I can’t wait to check it off my bucket list. Stay tuned for photos!

Other than the Grand Canyon, I have no planned trips for the year yet, and I’m dying to book something asap. There area few places I’ve had on my mind that I really hope to make it to. There are a few from last year’s list that I still want to visit, so I’m adding them again here. Even though I made a list last year, we ended up going to so many other places not on my list like Lake Tahoe, Santa Barbara, Hawaii, and New York. I think the best trips are the ones that just sort of end up happening, so it’ll be exciting to see where the year takes me. Regardless, I’m still making a list and I hope to check some off. 🙂

Ireland

I’ve had the itch to go to Ireland for years, so I’m bound and determined to make it happen this year. Dave and I really want to go on another Europe trip this year, so I’m hoping we can make Ireland work. My parents want to go too, so we could do part of our trip with them.

Charleston

Charleston is still on my list from last year. I want to try and go for my birthday weekend this year. November is a perfect time to go, and we always end up traveling on my birthday, so I think it’ll be perfect!

Maine

I’ve been really dying to go to Maine. It just looks SO beautiful up there, and I’ve only heard incredible things. I want an authentic Maine lobster roll!!

Tulum

We did Cabo last year and loved it, and definitely want to do Mexico again, but this time in the Caribbean! I’d love to do Cancun, Tulum, or Cozumel. Tulum looks incredible though, and I’d love to see all the ruins and swim in their famous cenotes.

Napa

I’m putting Napa back on my list because we didn’t end up going last year. It’s such a quick trip for us from SD– we need to make it happen. I’m thinking maybe for our 3 year anniversary in May?!

What destinations are on your travel list this year?
