This and That No. 2

December 16, 2016

This week was seriously crazy. Job hunting is an emotional roller coaster, I swear. One minute you’re super pumped about an application thinking you nailed it, the next minute you’re bummed because you didn’t get an interview, then you’re excited again because you nailed a phone interview. It’s a lot to take in, but I’m getting through it! Fingers crossed for some good news next week. 🙂 Needless to say, I’m ready for some R&R this weekend!

1 // Baking Cookies

I kicked off holiday baking with my mom this week, and the kitchen is slowly starting to fill with cookies. This year we’re making ginger molasses cookies, press cookies (one of my absolute faves), and a version of these Mexican wedding cake cookies. We also have a special kind of cookie I might share on the blog next week, but it’s kind of a family secret. 😉

2 // Beauty Obsession

I have the hardest time getting my coarse hair to feel soft and look shiny. I got this hair milk in my Birchbox a few months back, and it’s been a total game changer for me. It’s literally the only thing that actually makes my hair soft, so I bit the bullet and bought a big bottle this week!

3 // Tea Time

My absolute favorite holiday tea is the Winter Solstice blend from Peet’s. When I worked at Peet’s in college I fell in love with it, and I’ve been drinking it ever since! Since they only have it during the holidays, it’s a special treat that I look forward to every afternoon in December.

4 // Working Out

I have a total love/hate relationship with working out, but I’ve been attempting to be better this month (if for no other reason than to be able to eat more holiday cookies). I’m really loving these videos for quick, easy workouts that you don’t need equipment for. Her workouts are perfect if you’re short on time, or to add on to your cardio routine.

5 // All Wrapped Up

So I kind of went a little crazy with wrapping paper this year, but the options from Sugar Paper at Target were just too good! I got this one, this one, and this one, and couldn’t resist a few of their gift tags, too.

Have an amazing weekend!
