This and That No. 42

October 13, 2017

Happy Friday!! Man, what a week. I was sort of an emotional wreck this week, I’m not going to lie. Between working two jobs, blogging, and trying to squeeze in time for Dave/my roommate/family/the gym/myself, it’s a lot. Some weeks I feel super on top of my game and that I’m balancing it all, and then there are weeks like this one when I feel like I’m drowning in work and I’m just trying to make it to the end of the week. All I can say is I’m looking forward to the weekend. We’re thinking of driving out to Julian tomorrow for a little fall adventure, but I don’t even know if I feel like making the trek. My couch is sounding pretty good right about now, haha! Hope you guys have an amazing weekend.

1 // Why You’ll Never Have Your Shit Together

I’ve never needed this article more than this week. The author puts into words what so many of us (including myself) feel these days. With social media, it’s so easy to think everyone else has it together while your life is a gigantic mess, but the truth it…no one really has it together. And that’s okay. If you’re looking for a little end of the week inspo, this is the perfect article!

2 // Halloween Cakes

I’m not having a Halloween party, but I really wish I was so I could make one of these cakes. These are all insanely creative and awesome! I mean, how cool is this caramel apple cake?!

3 // L.L. Bean Anorak

I picked up this adorable anorak when L.L. Bean was having a 20% off sale the other day. I needed something super casual that I can throw on and go for a hike, walk, camping, etc. I love the retro look of this one, and the burgundy/red combo is so cute for fall. Can’t wait to wear this camping next month!

4 // Hocus Pocus Drinking Game

I’ve been holding off on watching my fave Halloween movie of all time, but I think this weekend I need to watch it. This Hocus Pocus drinking game is pretty much the best thing ever. If it happens, I’ll let you know how it goes!

5 // Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th! We all know it’s a spooky day, but I guess I never realized why. This article talks about where the fear of Friday the 13th came from. Hope no black cats cross your path today! 😉
