Sunset in Cabo

April 13, 2017

Going through these photos is making me want to go back to Cabo SO BAD.

The sunsets were so incredible. Every night on our trip we would walk down to the beach, Corona Lights in hand, and sink into the sand to watch the sunset. It was a little ritual that was so simple, yet it was easily one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. Watching the sun slip under the sea in the most breathtaking shades of pink and orange, sipping a beer, in Mexico, was truly unforgettable!

I know I’m from San Diego and we have beautiful beaches (and Cabo isn’t even that far away!) but they really don’t compare. The beaches in Mexico are just…magical. The water is more sparkly, and the way the sunshine bounced off of it was incredible. This particular stretch of beach was flanked on either side with rocky hills, making it even more dramatic and beautiful! Being surrounded by so much beauty was good for the soul. I think I was more relaxed in Mexico then I ever have been…like ever.

I got this maxi dress last year for my Hawaii trip but never ended up wearing it. Cabo was the perfect place to bring it out! It was just the ticket for balmy evenings on the beach or having dinner in town. Maxi dresses and beach vacations just go hand in hand, don’t they? There’s just something so effortless and easy-breezy about them that makes me want to wear them 24/7 when I’m on vacay. I brought another one with me, so stay tuned for that next week. 😉 I’m in love with the peachy color of this one– I fit right in with my surroundings!
