Recent Reads

One of my goals for this year was to read more. For some reason I had fallen out of the habit of reading for the past year or so, and I was bound and determined to get back into it this year! I’m not going to lie, I still haven’t been reading as much as I would like, but I’m on the right track. I just finished these 3 books so I thought I would share! They aren’t exactly new, but they are perfect summer beach reads.

The Singles Game // Lauren Weisberger is the author of The Devil Wears Prada so I knew this was going to be a good one. This is such a fun, light read that you can finish in a couple of days. It’s about a tennis star and her rise to fame and all that comes with it. It isn’t a meaty book by any means, but it’s a great quick read. If you like tennis, you’ll especially love this one!

Big Little Lies // If you haven’t read this book, you so need to. I loved Liane Moriarty’s writing style! The story is about three mothers in a small beach town who all have young children that go to the same school. Their lives all intertwine in dramatic ways and it’s a juicy story about love, lies, and family. It leaves you hanging until the very end! Also, although I liked the show, I think the book was better (but books are always better in my opinion!).

Here’s to Us // When I read that the story takes place in Nantucket, I was immediately sold. I figured, if I can’t actually be in Nantucket, I might as well pretend! This was my first Erin Hilderbrand book and it won’t be my last. It’s a super light beach read but I really loved it! It’s about three women who were all married to a man who passes away. After his death, they all reunite at his favorite place– Nantucket– and deal with the mess he left behind. It’s another juicy summer read that I totally recommend!

Do you guys have any book recommendations? I’m all ears!
