One of my favorite things about living in San Diego is that there’s never a shortage of Mexican food! If I could only eat tacos, enchiladas, and chips and salsa for the rest of my life, I probably would. Last weekend we went to Old Town for Mexican to celebrate Dave’s last day before leaving on a business trip for 5 weeks (it’s still so weird that he’s gone). Old Town is a really neat historical area and is considered the birthplace of California. I’m serious! It’s got tons of great Mexican restaurants, museums, and cool historical buildings. We went to one of Old Town’s classic spots, Old Town Mex. It’s pretty touristy now, but we still love it anyways! Back in the day, they were the first ones to have the ladies making tortillas right in front of you! It’s still one of my favorite things to see, and their tortillas are AMAZING. Definitely check it out if you’re visiting this summer!
This maxi was the perfect thing to wear on a warm summer night in Old Town- I fit right in with all the bright colors! This cobalt blue is a little bit out of my usual range, but I love it. It really pops on my (pale) skin, and I’m obsessed with the back detail. Any back cutouts where I can still where a regular strapless bra is good in my book! I added my favorite straw clutch and a simple pendant necklace for a pop of color. I know I’ll get lots of wear out of this maxi all summer long!
Cracking up at Dave, as usual ^^
