Jardin des Tuileries

November 23, 2016

It’s no secret that I love stripes. So when I saw this striped tissue turtleneck at J.Crew before the trip, I knew I had to have it. I’m not a huge turtleneck wearer because they’re not usually necessary in Southern California, but I’m definitely sold on them now! Especially the tissue turtleneck style because they are so lightweight and perfect for layering. Even though they’re lightweight, the turtleneck provides just the right amount of coziness. I wore this one to death on the trip, and wish I had bought more! It was perfect to pair with jeans, and also looked great with skirts for a slightly more dressy look. If you’re in the market for one, today is your lucky day- J.Crew is having a 40% off sitewide sale which makes them only $24 (use code HOLIDAY at checkout)!!!

On this particular day in Paris, the weather was absolutely perfection. It was the definition of a crisp fall day! We had a lovely afternoon tea at Angelina (a must do in Paris) and then spent the afternoon strolling through the Jardin des Tuileries and admiring all the fall foliage. We started at one end with the Musee de l’Orangerie (where they have the amazing Monet exhibit) and wandered all the way down to the Louvre. All the different gardens in Paris are spectacular in their own way, but I have to say that the Tuileries is one of my favorites. In the fall, it’s even more magical with leaves fluttering down around you!
