Christmas Traditions

December 21, 2016

Can you believe Christmas is this Sunday?! I mean seriously, where did the time go?! I couldn’t be more excited to spend the next few days celebrating with friends and family. We have a few Christmas traditions that I always look forward to every year. We’re not hardcore about them, but there are a few things we typically do that I absolutely love. I’m also all about starting new traditions, which we’re doing this year!

1. Christmas breakfast

I always love waking up, sipping on a cup of coffee and having a long, leisurely breakfast on Christmas morning. We always make an egg casserole and monkey bread, which I pretty much look forward to year round.

2. Matching Christmas pajamas

I know a lot of people do this, and my mom and I are starting it this year! We saw these adorable PJs at Target and both had to have them, so a new tradition is born.

3. Watching A Christmas Story

I always save watching A Christmas Story (one of my all time favorite holiday movies) for Christmas day, when TBS plays it nonstop for 24 hours. It always just makes it feel like Christmas having it on in the background!

4. Playing games with family

After Christmas dinner, we always bring out games. Our favorites include Scattergories, Catchphrase, and Uno! We tried the Family Feud game last year which was pretty hilarious too.

5. End the day with cracker cookies

We always make cracker cookies for Christmas! These are seriously the easiest cookies in the world to make, and the absolute BEST. This recipe is pretty much the same, but we use almonds instead of walnuts!

Pajamas: Target (My exact ones are sold out, but I looove this version)

Wrapping Paper: Sugar Paper for Target

Do you guys have any Christmas traditions?
