Camel Blazer

October 10, 2017

I’ve been lusting after a camel blazer for a while now, so when I saw this one on sale at J.Crew Factory, I snagged it immediately. As I get older, I find myself reaching for classic pieces over trendier ones more often than not (think striped shirts and button downs), so I knew I would get tons of wear out of this piece, even though the price tag is slightly over my budget. That’s not to say I don’t buy anything trendy–I love me a bell sleeved top and distressed jeans! But, as fun as it is to buy trendy pieces, it’s the classics that I know will never let me down and that I’ll get the most wear out of.

I’m also having a total camel moment right now, and find myself wanting to buy everything in the shade. It’s the perfect fall neutral and it always looks chic and polished. Camel also looks amazing with fall colors and plaids, and I’m already thinking of other ways to style this piece!

I wore it here with a simple striped tee (I’m actually loving this one from Target’s A New Day line) and black flats. This is an outfit combo that has never failed me! Anytime you pair classic black and white stripes with anything camel, you really can’t go wrong. I bought these black flats last year and they’ve been in heavy rotation in my wardrobe ever since. I swear, for being Target flats, they are some of the comfiest shoes I own. I’m totally serious! They come in other colors as well, and I’m really trying to convince myself that I don’t need the burgundy for fall…

PS- The fit on this blazer is awesome and true to size. I’m pretty much always a 6, which is what I’m wearing here.I love that it’s slightly fitted and super flattering!
