After this weekend, I’m happy to say that my bedroom is pretty much done! If you’re just tuning in, I recently moved into a new apartment almost a month ago. It’s my first post-college apartment and the first time I’m getting to really decorate a space. It’s been incredibly fun but also verrrryy challenging at times!
For my room, I knew I wanted mostly neutrals with a mid-century vibe. Think: white bedding, sheepskin rug, mid-century pieces with touches of gold here and there. That was basically my vision, and I didn’t stray from it at all. It was really exciting seeing my vision come to life!
I do have to say, decorating is HARD. And expensive. And projects you think are going to be easy take forever. But all in all, I’m so so happy with how it turned out and actually really enjoyed the process of planning and decorating. I think my new passion is home decor!
All the pieces here are the exact items I bought for my room, with the exception of the dresser. My aunt gave me the dresser I have– it’s an awesome mid century style piece that I love. I spiced it up a bit with some gold hardware like on the dresser I put here (DIY coming soon!). Since I’m on a tight budget, I
didn’t want to couldn’t spend too much on everything, so all of these pieces are under $100. Most are well under $100. Even the headboard!!
I’m going to be sharing a reveal of my room in the next couple of weeks, but couldn’t resist sharing some of the pieces I’ve gotten because I’m so darn excited!
