Beauty on a Budget

October 20, 2015

Let me preface this by saying I am by no means a beauty aficionado. Like, at all. I am pretty minimal when it comes to makeup and beauty products. I do really like makeup, I’ve just never been particularly good at it (although I did get a bit better in college, thanks to my friends who basically taught me to use eyeliner). Anyways.

Although I’m not the biggest beauty buff, I do like trying new products every now and again! I usually splurge on the big things like foundation, powder, lipstick, etc (can’t help myself around lipstick), but most of my beauty purchases come from Target. I love drugstore makeup because if you try a product and don’t love it, it’s not like you’ve spent $35 on mascara you don’t even like. Here I’ve rounded up a few of my absolute favorite beauty products, and the best part is they are all less than $15!

Sonia Kashuk Eye Shadow

I love this eye shadow quad! It’s my favorite combo of neutrals and sparkle.

Dove Dry Shampoo

I love dry shampoo. I usually wash my hair every other day, and spritz dry shampoo on the off days (or when I let it go more than one day…oops). The Dove formula doesn’t leave gross white residue, and leaves your hair feeling clean and smelling fresh.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind

This stuff is perfect for getting rid of dark eye circles in a pinch! It really does help on those mornings when you feel particularly haggard (saves you from the always horrible “You look tired” comment).

Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture Lotion

I’m definitely a Clinique girl, so the Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion has been and always will be my go-to. But, I really like this Neutrogena option as an alternative! Plus, it has SPF, which I always need since I have such pale skin.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I am obsessed with this lip cream! The first time I put it on I couldn’t believe how smooth it was, and how gorgeous the matte finish looked! I have these in every color. For $5, you can’t go wrong!

Essie Grow Stronger Base Coat

I love painting my nails and pretty much always have them painted, so they get pretty dried out. Ever since I started using this base coat, my nails have definitely gotten stronger, which is saying a lot!

What are your go-to beauty products?

xoxo
