Bar Cart Essentials

July 13, 2017

Cheers to Friday eve, ya’ll!

Ever since I moved in a few months ago, I’ve been loving apartment life. It’s pretty much all I can do to not go to HomeGoods every other day! I love finding fun pieces to add to my space now that the decorating is mostly done. One of my favorite pieces I found for the apartment has to be my bar cart. While I was living at home, I lusted after all the gorgeous bar carts on Pinterest and I finally have one of my own! I think I mentioned it on the blog before, but it was actually a Craigslist steal (I posted a photo of it last week in this post). Can you believe it?! Anyways, I’ve been loving having a place to store all the barware I’ve collected over the year and it’s been super fun playing bartender with friends and family. Dave especially loves it, ha! He’s learned how to make quite the margarita. 😉

Although I’m still in the process of building up my bar cart, I feel like I have a pretty good idea of the essentials. The best part is there’s no right or wrong way to style a bar cart! As long as you have a few of the necessities, you’ll be ready to start mixing drinks (and for the perfect Insta).

Here’s what you need in order to have the perfect bar cart:

1 // A bar cart (duh)

2 // Cocktail shaker 3 // Coasters 4 // Lemons and limes 5 // Cocktail Glasses

6 // Wine glasses 7 // Bottle opener 8 // Champagne glasses (I’m partial to the coupe style!)

9 // Cocktail book 10 // Cocktail napkins

11 // Spirits: Vodka, Tequila, Champagne (whatever else you like!)

12 // Ice bucket 13 // Straws

A couple other tips: If you’re planning on having friends over, buy ice (unless you have an ice maker of course)! There’s nothing worse than not having enough ice for drinks. Also, I also like to keep a couple of mixers handy such as La Croix, tonic, juice, etc in the fridge typically. Everything is better when it’s chilled!
